Artisanal bread acts as the perfect canvas for creamy avocado topped with fresh ingredients that that are bold in both flavour and colour.
- 2 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) lime juice
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt, freshly ground pepper and hot chili flakes
- 8 slices 1/2-inch (1 cm) thick, artisanal bread, toasted
- Watermelon radish, thinly sliced
- Heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- Pomegranate seeds
- Edible flowers
- Pea shoots
- Flaked sea salt
- Mash avocado with lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper and hot chili flakes. Spread evenly over toasted bread.
- Arrange desired toppings over avocado. Sprinkle with edible flowers, pea shoots and sea salt.
